The Pine Hill Divinity Hall Board (PH) of Govenors' continue to exist after the Foundation of Atlantic School of Theology (AST) was formed in 1971. The PH Board, established by an Act of Parliament in 193, owns properties (except for the library built by AST in 1993) and is a support for United Church of Canada students training at AST for Christian ministry. Income from endowment funds, administered by the Board of PH, contributes so the operating expenses of AST and provides financial assistance by way of bursaries to needy students preparing for ministry in the United Church of Canada.
