Community Resources Charity located in Vancouver, BC.

During the year it completed its sponsorship of a family of four Burmese refugees, extending our aid well beyond the required term. The family has since become self supporting. The charity is continuing to affirm its entention to help people whom have fled their homes abroad and need help in obtaining resettlement in Canada. It is currently considering whether to sponsor more refugees. The charity's main focus this past year has been on conducting a program called Friends InDeed. Professionally trained consultants recruited and trained volunteers to reach out to members of our community who find themselves in need to help or support that could be provided by a friend. The program is ongoing in the task of matching trained volunteers to people in need of their special caring skills.
