Through equestrian activities and with the involvement of the community, the charity strives to enhance the quality of life for individuals with a wide range of challenges. Physical benefits of therapeutic horseback riding include increased core strength, balance and coordination, normalization of muscle tone, increased joint mobility, improved proprioception and improved gross and fine motor skills. Emotional benefits include increased confidence and self-esteem, experience of bonding with a horse, friendship, social and life skills, and access to sport and recreation in a safe, fun environment. Children and adults with autism benefit from an increased ability to focus, improved concentration skills, and improved eye contact and communication.
