Special Olympics Ontario Inc. is a provincial organization providing athletes with intellectual disability the opportunity to experience and succeed in sports and recreational activities. About 22,000 registered athletes were actively involved in close to 2,300 accredited club programs across the province assisted by 10,400 registered volunteers. The charity has held numerous sporting events throughout the years including provincial games competitions and local and regional competitions. Youth focused programs such as Active Start for children 2-6 years of age and Fundamentals for youth ages 7-12.
