Services Provided by Ontario Society For Crippled Children
Since 1922, Easter Seals Ontario has provided services for children and youth with physical disabilities. Today, our programs include financial assistance for expensive mobility equipment and communication devices, such as wheelchairs, walkers and braces, and fully accessible camping programs. Easter Seals owns and operates two fully accessible camps, Camp Woodeden in London and Camp Merrywood, near Perth. Each year, our camping operations provide summer employment opportunities for close to 150 students, past campers and nurses. Easter Seals programs and services help children and youth with physical disabilities achieve greater independence and focus on their abilities rather than on their limitations. Easter Seals also provides special education information resources for families, post-secondary scholarships and undertakes public awareness and stakeholder education.
