North Sydney Historical Society is a
Public Amenities Charity located in North Sydney, NS.
Services Provided by North Sydney Historical Society
The Society operates a year round museum in a modern building in the former town of North Sydney, Nova Scotia. The museum displays historical artifacts, pictures and documents detailing life in the town since its incorporation in 1885. We partner with the local Library and carry out programs to educate children and adults alike about the rich history of North Sydney. We have taken travelling displays to local schools to show children and educators a small piece of the museum in the hope that they will become interested and visit the museum. We hire students annually and try to find individuals who have a keen knowledge of history and geneaology so that visitors questions regarding these topics will be addressed adequately.
