Family Services of the North Shore is an accredited, not-for-profit, community-based organization. For over sixty years the Agency has provided a bROad range of education, support, and counselling services to heal and connect the North Shore community. The Agency serves The City of North Vancouver, District of North Vancouver, District of West Vancouver, as well as the Village of Lions Bay and Bowen Island. Family Services of the North Shore also leads the BC provincial work in the prevention of eating disorders. In 2015-16 over 8300 children, youth, individuals, families, and seniors from a diverse array of cultural backgrounds received support from the Agency's dedicated and caring staff and volunteers. Clients seek help for depression, anxiety, abuse, bullying, parenting challenges and many other issues including living with terminal illness, bereavement, and disability. Services are offered at either no fee or on a sliding scale thanks to generous support from partners and donors.
