Scholarships and bursaries awarded to Grade 12 graduating students at Dover Bay, John Barsby, NDSS, Wellington and Woodlands Secondary Schools (School District #68) & Ladysmith Secondary and Learning Alternatives. Student Support Fund: a direct-to-student fund that allows teachers and staff to confidentially and anonymously provide vulnerable children with shoes, coats, additional school supplies, if needed, to cover band or athletic fees, and other necessities to help keep them in school through the remainder of the year. The Foundation also helps to support breakfast, lunch and snack programs across the district. Donors have helped provide salad bars, dishes, dishwashers and other appliances needed to ensure that kids are getting a nutritious start to their day. Elementary Music Program: provides musical instruments to high need schools funded by cash donations Stock the Lockers: provides basic school supplies and back packs to area school District Initiative Grant: awards money to schools for programs/projects that are student focused, promote student leadership, community development and social responsibility
