While the Gallery has organized off-site exhibitions in the past, the AGM's burgeoning partnership with Square One Shopping Centre and Oxford Properties resulted in a pop-up exhibition- extension of Pattern Migration in the Shopping Centre during 2016. The exhibition attracted considerable corporate sponsorship as well as resonated with an audience reach of over 400,000 viewers. Throughout the year, public discussions and curatorial presentations were offered in conjunction with each exhibition as well as gallery tours with the guest curator, artists or the resident curator. Building on the dialogue catalyzed by our dynamic exhibitions, the AGM introduced exhibiting or local artists to facilitate inspiring workshops that reflected various arts and cultural practices. Specific engagement projects and programming introduced during the year comprised Art Influx, Bridging Art, Living Waters, The Recipe Placemat, all extending the opportunity to create an accessible space for deeper engagement between visitors, art and the community. The Gallery also succeeded in securing a project grant from Canadian Heritage, Museum Assistance Programme for our 'Storage Wars: The Consolidation and Organization of the AGM's PAC', an important collection care project which supported the need for additional collection care standards and equipment.
