Oats: Work with Health Canada, The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and industry to improve consumer access to safe "gluten-free" oats and to monitor attemps to create a cleaned oat product. Education: new initiatives for food service workers and food service establishments. Research: through the JA Campbell Research Fund, the CCA stimulated research into the causes and treatment of celiac disease. Public Outreach: participation in trade shows and social media to expand the discussion on gluten free as a medical requirment, not a personal choice. Recipient of grant from Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada to develop best practices for farmers and grain processors to improve the supply of gluten-free cereal and pulse crops available to manufacturers of GF food
