Pamoja project in Kenya: HPIC developed a brand new project focused on the most vulnerable mothers and babies in partnership with The Anglican Church of Kenya. The first provision of medical relief arrived in the fall of 2016. The project also includes a public education component to promote good health practices. Pharmaceutical management: HPIC completed the development of a new proprietary pharmaceutical management database tool. The software and accompanying training was made in response to needs in the field. It will help smaller resource-constrained hospitals track usage, keep inventory and better manage their medicines, whether they are donated or purchased. A number of program implementing partners are slated to begin using it in 2017. Noteworthy in 2016: HPIC reached the milestone of having provided more than $500 million in medical relief to communities in more than 110 countries.
