Primary Purpose of the Seminary is to provide education for pastors and lay leaders of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada. This education leads to the following degrees and certificates: BTh/MDiv Bachelor of Theology or Master of Divinity equips persons to be ordained into the Christian Ministry. MTh Master of Theology study of pastoral ministry without leading to ordination. STM Master of Sacred Theology graduate study of Church/Christian doctrine, theology, Church history, its writings and teachings. Certificate in Diaconal Ministry prepares persons to become Deacon and Deaconess within the Church. Certificate in Lutheran Foundations which allows persons with Divinity degree from an institution outside the Lutheran Church to become ordained in the Lutheran Community. Secondary Purpose is to provide residence for persons attending University and other educational programs. Provide worship space for Seminary community and community at large. Authorized by Accrediting Organization to offer a program that awards a D.Min. (Doctor of Ministry).
