Kitimat Museum & Archives is a
Public Amenities Charity located in Kitimat, BC.

We accept artifacts and archival donations relevant to Kitimat's community and natural history plus aboriginal history and culture in the area of the Kitimat Valley and the Douglas Channel. We run children's programming on-site and in Kitimat's elementary schools in visual arts, community, and natural history. We present some public programming on natural and community history in the evenings at the Museum. We educate visitors about Kitimat and region through programming and exhibition. We provide increasing access to Kitimat history by adding to the historical record and improving collections documentation on existing databases. We provide a venue for the visual arts of Kitimat and hold in trust artifacts for the Haisla Nation.
