The Kitchener Horticultural Society maintains a 7.2 acre site know locally as Rockway Gardens under an annual grant process with the City of Kitchener. The Society provides information sessions on gardening topics, maintains a telephone help line for gardening information and publishes a member newsletter with gardening information. The society arranges garden tours for members and the public and has annual sales of bulbs and plants. The Society also has a youth program involving garden plots for local children. As well as, a horticultural therapy program conducted at some senior's locations in the city.
