Services Provided by Kamloops Family History Society
We provide speakers on various topics of research at monthly meetings. We research and select materials for members to view prior to meetings to enhance their family history research skills. We assist with research and areas of residence of their ancestors We provide volunteer staff at the Family History Center to assist the LDS church members, Family History Society members and the general public. This amounts to approximate 350 volunteer hours per year. Twice yearly, we publish a Family History Journal and exchange copies with many Family History Societies in Canada, USA, and overseas. We assist members in the use of computer programs for family history research and we help beginning researchers get started on their research. We held several small group sessions for members working with specific family software, to exchange information and to enhance their skills
