During the fiscal year the museum is open to the general public year round. Its main program activities are: To acquire, obtain, purchase, exchange, sell & hold objects of historical value & interest for display to the general public; To collect, exhibit, educate the public on and reserve the Aboriginal history; Georgian Bay Marine history; regional pioneer, Euro-Canadian; Georgian Bay arts; To educate & provide opportunities for citizens to interact meaningfully with the museum's collections, exhibits & educational programs through heritage interpretive programming, outreach programming & children's day camp programming; To receive endowment money for investment & to use the interest from the said money for the objects of the Corporation. With over45 volunteers and over 5338 hours to preserve our heritage.
