The Historical Society of Alberta (HSA) publishes a quarterly magazine (Alberta History) and a quarterly newsletter (History No). HSA also publishes books on Alberta's history which are usually based on diaries and collections of letters. HSA is also the coordinating organization for five local historical societies as follows; Central Alberta Historical Society, Chinook County Historical Society, Edmonton and District Historical Society, Lethbridge Historical Society, and Peace Country Historical Society. These chapters offer porgrams of seminars, walking tours, bus trips, etc. for members of the HSA and the general public. The society also has a heritage Fairs project where they visit schools throughout the province to educate elementary school children and motivate them to learn about history.
