Reclaiming Hope (from a culture of fear) was our new project this year. We decided to hold the events in a different community location each night, hosted by a diverse array of community partners. The idea reflected a desire to reach deep into community, ensuring attendance by people in the constituency of the partners, while also mixing them with 'general public'. We played, as we always do, to VERY diverse audiences. There were 10 community events that were by donation and two final performances at a low cost of $10,00 presented at the Scotia Dance Centre. As always at our admission venue we reserved 20% of the house for our voucher program. These tickets set aside for low income audience members. This program was all brought together by a free event, Day of Concrete Action Planning. This was an opportunity for people who had attended an event to come together and plan actual action we as a community can take together.
