Goldeye Centre is a secluded education and retreat facility located inside the first range of the Rocky Mountains in the towering pines above Goldeye Lake which is about 180km west of Red Deer on the David Thompson Highway #11. In 1958, the centre was conceived as a venue for The Co-operative Youth Program which was administered by REDA (Rural Education and Development Association), now ACCA (Alberta Community & Co-operative Association). Any group with an educational mandate or purpose would find the Goldeye Centre suitable for their needs during any season In 1978, the Goldeye Foundation Society (a corporately sponsored non-profit organization) was formed to support the operation of Goldeye Centre. Youth remains the priority today and the Centre has since expanded to include adult groups and activities.
