Patient & Family Engagement Projects support initiatives that engage patients and families in designing, delivering and evaluating health services, with the goal of improving the quality of care. EXTRA Projects provides senior health care leaders and clinicians with the skills to enhance patient outcomes, quality of care and cost effectiveness. CFHI works with the provinces and territories. The programs include our collaboration to support quality improvement collaborative aimed at supporting elder-friendly models of care and practices, improve dementia care through the appropriate use of antpyschotic medications in New Brunswick nursing homes partnering with the New Brunswick Association of Nursing Homes (NBANH) and transform care for people living with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and support their caregivers. The Northern and Remote (NR) Collaboration provides an opportunity for decision makers, leaders, policy makers and practitioners to build leadership and improvement capacity by networking, comparing innovative solutions and sharing success stories. On-call webinars feature clinicians, managers and healthcare leaders who are accelerating healthcare improvement. The informational webinars share results from our healthcare improvement collaboratives and showcase helpful resources and opportunities.
