The Society produces the Vancouver Fringe Festival, an 11 day unjuried theatre festival each September. Recognizing our role as providing a portal to emerging theatre artists, we provide workshops and arrange mentorships to improve artist development in areas such as site specific theatre. We have a small year round staff complemented by seasonal staff leading up to the festival. Our mandate could not be carried without our strong volunteer program which typically has over 500 volunteers providing over 10,000 hours of service annually. In addition to the Fringe Festival we operate Theatre Wirewhich provides ticketing and front of house support to independent theatre companies and presents a subscription series of curated shows.
