Epilepsy Ontario provides information, support and counseling for people living with Epilepsy. In addition, the organization provides the Summerfest Camp program, and provincially focused education and training to community stakeholders, and access to a resource centre. Extensive awareness activities include the weekly enews, Voices of Epilepsy, various online and print publications, and stakeholder presentations, March Awareness Month and Purple Day activities. Facilitates ongoing support to new chapters and existing local epilepsy agencies. Distributes brochures to families, medical offices and individuals seeking information. Disseminates information via the website, online media, advocacy programs, and other events. Epilepsy information Specialist - accessible by phone and internet in communities where there is no local epilepsyagency, provides support and information to assist peop le to better understand their condition and as well as provides tools and resources to navigate the health care system. Also provides specialized information support to local agencies.
