We run and operate programs for the student community of BCIT: -liaison with BCIT administration to advocate for student issues and concerns; -organize and promote various education campaigns on campuses:Violence against women, alcohol awareness, harm reduction, health awareness; -organize and run student focused events:orientation weeks, grad events, sustainable awareness events; -provide and administer student health and dental insurance program; -operate and subsidize student orientated services: magazine, printing services, lounge and campus convenience stores, peer tutoring, food box programs, Advocacy Services, Leadership development programs: mentorship programs -organize and run Student Resource center, Student Emergency Food bank; -organize and run Christmas campaign for disadvantaged student families; -recruit and organize student volunteers to assist in the delivery of the above campaigns and programs as required; -facilitate creation and operation of student educational and recreational clubs; -organize various fundraising events primarily for student bursaries and grant, funds forwarded to BCIT Foundation for distribution; -operate and subsidize a year round childcare center for 25 children aged..
