East Chester Recreational Association is a

We are a community organisation with a small core of volunteers who provide services to the citizens of East Chester and surrounding areas. We own the old school house which now serves as a community hall. We maintain and upgrade the building as needed. We support local groups: 4-H, TOPS, and other non-profit groups with free rental and we also rent to citiens living in our are. We donate monies to local charities and sporting groups and support our community as need arises. We hold weekly Bingo and Caed Games through out the year and sponsor monthly Bingo Games at Shoreham Village and sponsor an annual birthday party in April each year for the residents of the seniors home. We also hold an annual Mackerel Snappers Picnic on Graves Island Provincial Park which is attended by over 1000 people each year. The hall is also rented for group meetings, classes and elections as required.
