Farm Radio International is a Canada-based charitable organization. It continues to fulfill its' objectives by coordinating and serving a network of farm radio broadcasters and other rural communicators in sub-saharan Africa. Of significance is the production and distribution of informational resources about rural development to the beneficiaries. Examples of these informational resources are Farm Radio Resource Packages and Farm Radio Weekly. Secondly, the charity continues to implement interactive radio projects in Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Ghana, Mali, Malawi, Tanzania and Uganda in efforts to relieve hunger balance nutrition and improve health education. These projects, implemented with a wide range of stakeholders and partners, cover a wide range of rural development issues, from crop production to value chain development, livestock to horticulture, nutrition to mental health, In addition to the above, FRI is enhancing and developing the skills of rural radio broadcasters in sub-Saharan Africa through distance and 'in-station' training programs ? Her Farm Radio - a project funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development that aims to increase the extent to which rural women can have their voices heard and their issues addressed during radio programs.
