The mission of Crime Stoppers is to create a safe more secure community. Through various communication vehicles we share the vital message of making the call to our anonymous tip line. Every call, and we receive over 7,000 per year, impact our neighborhoods in Edmonton and Northern Alberta. Important dramatic re-enactments are filmed with volunteer actors and in partnership with Global Edmonton. Crime Stoppers re-enactments we know are vital to our impact in solving crimes. In the past, we generated 300 tips from a re-enactment on a high profile double homicide with a suspect now behind bars. While this is just a small example but it brings a tangible illustration to the fore about how our mission synergies with so many other organizations (law enforcement, the media) and the public while producing results.
