CWAV Society offers four programs: (1) Somenos Transition House Provides safe housing for women and their children who are fleeing abuse or violence. Stays are up to 30 days. Somenos House also manages the Homelessness Prevention Program which provides rental supplements and supports for women to ifnd sustainable housing. (2)The Women Against Violence Against Women (WAVAW) program has Stopping the Violence (STV) counselling for women, Children Who Witness Abuse counselling for children, Community Based Victim Services (CBVS) and a variety of counselling/psycho-educational groups including Strengthering Families, Holding your Own in Relationship, and Teen Healthy Relations. (3) Safer Futures does community based social research and educational programming focused on community safety and safety for women and youth.Safer Futuers provides support to the Community Safety Advisory Commission. (4) Horizons Pre-employment for Women is a program designed to assist women with multiple barriers that include trauma from violence prepare for employment.
