Community Connection has provided information and referral services througha local helpline since 1969. Today,they are the regional 211 Ontario contact centre for Central East Ontario,a population of 1.2 million residents in twelve counties (Bruce,Grey,Dufferin,Perth,Huron,Simcoe,Muskoka,Parry SoundHaliburton,Kawartha Lakes,Peterborough and Northumberland). Community Connection operates a Community Resource Centre offering affordable shared office space and meeting rooms enabling public access to part-time & occasional community services in their community. Community Connection is a volunteer centre which connects people with volunteer opportunities and organizations with needed helpers. Community Connection participates in dozens of community partnerships to improve service coordination and access to services across social services and care providers.
