The Comox Valley Art Gallery (CVAG) is a regional public art gallery dedicated to exhibiting, interpreting and celebrating contemporary art practice. We program at least 21 exhibitions every year, showcasing the work of emerging loacal and professional artists from across the country. We operate programs and a public dialogue series to facilitate art education, critical conversation and community outreach, with a goal to foster an ongoing exploration of the arts and their role in shaping and clarifying our culture. Education and outreach activities include school visits, gallery tours for schools and community groups, workshops, and public discussion forums. the Gallery also operates a Youth Media Project and a printmaking workshop, which provide local youth with training and hands-on experience in producing videos and prints.
