The CPSA: - Established a new policy on travel grants to benefit graduate students who attend its Annual Conference; - Following the recommendations of the Report of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) and the 2015 Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada: Calls to Action, the Association created the CPSA Reconciliation Committee. - Replaced its original project to update the traditional careers guide with the "PRAXIS Blog," which will focus on graduate students, adjuncts, post-docs, and tenure-track faculty in political science and address a variety of topics in academic life. While the blog will provide practical advice and thoughtful reflection on academic skills, there will be also an emphasis on practical skills like networking, applying and interviewing for jobs, and public service recruitment. The blog will be for those who want to turn their political science degree into their ideal job, whether in academia or pracademia; - Created the position of "Practitioner Representative," designed to better capture the perspectives of political scientists who do work outside academe; - Started to work on the publication of special issues of the Canadian Journal of Political Science/Revue canadienne de science politique; one of the objectives of this project is to allow free access for defined periods. - Started to work on the E-Bulletin that will offer a vehicle in which members, and Chairs of member Departments will share academic news, new appointment...
