The Canadian Geological Foundation was established to receive contributions and to provide grants directs towards assisting the development of geological sciences in Canada. The Thayer Lindsley Fund provides grants towards assisting the development of geological sciences in Canada. The Jerome H. Remick III Endowment Trust Fund awards grants from revenue earned by the trust fund, to projects that further the development of the geosciences in Canada and promote an awareness of the role of geosciences in Canadian society. The GAC Endowment Trust Fund was established to award grants from revenue earned by the trust fund to support and promote earth sciences and professinal and public education activities that are normally supported by the GAC. The W.W. Hutchison Medal Endowment Trust Fund is used to support annual lecture tours by Hutchison Medalists. The Mary-Claire Ward Geoscience Award is awarded annually to an individual for significant development in geoscience.
