The Autism Society of Newfoundland and Labrador Inc. delivers specialized programs and services for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their familities/caregivers. Programs are goal-based and focused on improving all aspects of a client's daily life including vocational, social, and communication skills. Our Support Employment Program helps individuals gain the skills needed to be effective in the workplace. Our Social Thinking Program assists clients in improving their social skills with others in small group settings. Our Structured Teaching program is life-skills based and allows individuals to develop skills that are transferable to both the home and community. We have some core Therapeutic Recreation programs that continue to be offered such as Equine Interaction, Horseback riding, swim programs, gymnastics, bowling and summer camps. Additionally, we have support groups and chapters across the province that provides support for familities.
