Services Provided by Community Living Ajax-Pickering And Whitby
The following programs are provided by the Association under Ontario's Services and Supports to Promote the Social Inclusion of Persons with a Developmental Disabilities Act 2008: 1) Residential Services-Accomodation in a family type atmosphere for developmentally disabled persons; 2) Community Employment Program Assistance for developmentally disabled persons with workplace placement; 3) Supportive Independent Living-support/supervision for persons living independently in a community; 4) Vocational Services-industrial workshops; 5) Family and Childrens Services-Advocacy, case management and support for families; 6) Lifeskills-maintaining and upgrading skills necessary to participate in community life; 7) Sponsorship of Student Summer Employment Programs and workshops; 8) Community Participation Program-allows persons with a developmental disability to participate in community activities; and 9) Specialized Services-residential treatment home for individuals with dual diagnosis/behavioral difficulties.
