The Canadian Institute for Advanced Legal Studies provides lawyers and judges with the opportunity to attend lectures and to engage in discussions beyond the scope of their daily work. The institute operates a series of lectures in the English language at Queen's College, Cambridge, UK every two years and a similar set of lectures in Strasbourg, France. In addition to the lecture series, the Institute provides three scholarships in the name of the Right Honourable Paul Martin, Senior. Two Canadian Law students receive two scholarships to study in the University of Cambridge Master of Laws program and one Canadian Law student receives a scholarship to study law at either the Masters or Doctoral level and a French speaking European Uni... versity.
