United Way has a long history of helping immigrants and refugees settle into their new home here in Canada. When Canada welcomed 25,000 Syrian refugees,United Way responded.We launched a fundraising appeal then collaborated with frontline agencies to design and deliver programs targeted to help Syrian refugees.To offer mental health support,some programs conducted group sessions as well as art and play therapy for children.
